Mickey Mantle comes to Hartford!
In the early '70's Mr. Dave Taylor Sr. had organized a charity baseball game for the youth of Hartford and West Hartford. A Yankee's fan to his core, Mr Taylor called The Commerce Comet three times. The first two times he declined, rather politely its been told but the third time Mr. Taylor sweetened the pot and Mickey Mantle himself visited Hartford. The magic ingredient? An open bar tab at The Spigot.
